Role: Underwriting Operations Administrator
Location: City
Salary to £26,000
Permanent
Key Responsibilities
ï·Inputting risk data into the underwriting system at all stages of the risk assessment and underwriting process
ï·Managing underwriting documentation
ï·Establishing workflows and processes
ï·Continuous improvement of the underwriting administration process
ï·Project development of the underwriting system to meet the changing needs of the business
ï·Timely and accurate capture of risk data in the Occam Underwriting administration system
ï·Ensure that underwriting files are complete and contain all relevant documents
ï·Run monthly bordereaux for capacity providers
ï·Carry out sanctions checks and licence checks on insured entities and territories
ï·Liaise with underwriting teams and finance to monitor the timely receipt of underwriting data
ï·Liaise with underwriting teams and finance to address data deficiencies and related issues eg tax schedules and premium discrepancies
ï·Take reasonable steps to adhere to agreed processes and timescales
Candidate Profile
ï·A general understanding of the underwriting process
ï·A general understanding of the operation of the (re)insurance markets
ï·A general understanding of underwriting documentation from quote to bound slip
ï·A general understanding of the Lloyd's and London Market requirements and BAA administration
ï·Experience of maintaining insurance underwriting systems
ï·Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Outlook
ï·Strong interpersonal skill
ï·Accuracy and attention to detail
ï·Analytical thinking and numeracy
Education and Experience
ï·Educated to GCSE A level or equivalent
ï·CII qualification preferred but not essential
ï·Minimum 2 years' experience in a data capture or relevant administrative role
