Senior Support Worker / Team Leader / House Coordinator - Young Adults Learning Disabilities
Minster - Isle of Sheppey

£19,500 per annum


Company/Organisation:
A large collaborative support organisation offering multiple support functions including: therapeutic services, community support, day services, supported living, family assessment, speech and language therapy and short break provision for both adults and children.
This organisation have a fantastic reputation that has been built over the last 20 years. They are looking to recruit a Team Leader/Senior Support Worker to take on the role of 'House Coordinator' at one of their supported living facilities in Sittingbourne. The facility is home to 6 residents aged 19-26 who present a range of mild-moderate learning disabilities.


Role:
You will be required to join the team with daily support duties as well as being responsible for guiding and leading a team of support workers, coordinating rotas; and promoting the welfare, safety, personal development and well being of the residents.
You will be supported by an area Team Leader who you will report to and liaise with on a regular basis as part of your role.
The care service operates 24/7 you must be flexible to work a range of varied shifts including days, nights and weekends.


Skills/Experienced Required:

* Previous experience working as a Team Leader or Senior Support Worker within a setting supporting young adults is essential
* Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or higher (Level 4 or 5)
* Experience with leading a team offering care to vulnerable adults.
* Experience working with young adults with learning disabilities is essential
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work under own initiative.
* You will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, an employment background check, satisfactory references, and verification of right to work in the UK as part of the recruitment process.
