Due to further expansion, Burtons Medical Equipment is recruiting for a new Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our growing team.
Job Summary
The In-house Repair Centre Team continues to see substantial growth in the equipment repairs sector.
Due to this increase, we are seeking to recruit a new team member as a Biomedical Repairs and Service Technician.
The successful candidate would complete assessments, calibration, service and or corrective maintenance work, carried out on a diverse range of equipment such as; infusion pumps, multipara meter meters, ventilators, centrifuges, microscopes and anaesthetic apparatus.
Responsibilities & Duties
The main responsibilities of this role involve managing all aspects of the equipment repair process, including, but not limited to:
• Inspection, assessment, fault diagnosis and repair of the equipment in accordance with department procedures, and within specified SLA’s where appropriate
• Test each repair to ensure quality assurance standards are met and achieved
• Communicating directly with customers, both verbally and written, to provide information, technical support, quotations and product recommendations, when required
• Maintaining active job statuses on our computer system throughout the repair life cycle
• Ensure each repair is prepared for secure dispatch and invoice processing
• Liaising with internal Burtons department personnel and external suppliers on a regular basis
Qualifications & Skills
• The successful candidate would ideally have:
• Proficient electronic and mechanical repair skill set, with exceptional hand/eye co-ordination and manual dexterity abilities
• Capability to apply a logical and methodical approach to diagnose faults and undertake high quality repairs
• Experience of maintaining and repairing Biomedical equipment is preferred, but full training can be provided to the right applicant
• Competence and ability to organise, self-motivate and effectively time manage on an individual basis, but also function well as part of a Team
• Possess good interpersonal communication, both verbally and written
