Are you passionate about children reaching their full potential?

Are you confident, self-motivated, flexible, and have a ‘can do’ attitude?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team working with children and young people with mild to moderate disabilities, delivering a programme of after school café-style groups (8-15 years), Saturday Clubs (15-19 years) and school holiday trips.

You will join an established team delivering services across East Kent, and manage an existing caseload and new referrals to the service. You will plan, organise and risk assess group activities that support personal development, and promote independence, community engagement and social activities. We want the young people taking part to have opportunities to try new things, make friends and have fun!

As lead staff, you will work with colleagues and volunteers to deliver sessions, supporting the young people to participate, interact and achieve their goals. It’s expected that you will keep excellent records and keep in regular communication with families to build trusted relationships.

A key aspect of this role is to raise awareness and promote the service so you will attend events, meet with schools and develop wider networks.

This full-time role has a working pattern of Wednesdays - Saturdays and requires the applicant to hold a full driving licence and their own car. You will also be expected to drive a minibus and full training will be provided. The service has been adapted to accommodate COVID changes with some activities currently delivered online, so ideally you will have flexibility on working days for the short-term. There is potential for fixed term or permanent contracts.

Join us and make a difference.
