If you also have sound experience and knowledge in monitoring and evaluating projects, this full time, fixed term role could be a great opportunity for you to gain experience in a busy Higher Education setting.

This role will provide executive and strategic support to the central Student Success Project Manager, to ensure the continued development and embedding of the Student Success Project across the University.

As Assistant Project Manager (Student Success Project), you will:

co-ordinate and manage tasks on the project to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
provide project management expertise to delivery partners across the University
ensure all Student Success interventions are effectively monitored and evaluated for impact on attainment outcomes
manage the central programme of seminars, conferences and speaker events to promote inclusion and disseminate research
To succeed in this role you will have:

a project management qualification
experience of staff management with the ability to motivate staff
the ability to use initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines
excellent attention to detail and the ability to carefully check project documentation, analyse the project progress and predict trends and outcomes from such analyses
Student Success is a priority agenda at the University of Kent, which promotes student Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). The Student Success Team sits within the Education Directorate and was established in 2015 to address the sector-wide and institutional factors that affect attainment, continuation and progression for disadvantaged and minoritized students.

The Student Success Team leads a University-wide research/action research approach to reducing attainment gaps and driving cultural change across the University. The Team has a pivotal role in ensuring the University meets the strategic and statutory objectives in its Access and Participation Plan. We welcome applicants with demonstrable involvement in social justice initiatives.
