An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Planner to join an award-winning leading manufacturing company who specialise in bespoke products which are distributed nationally. This role is a fulltime permanent role and is commutable from Ashford, Maidstone, Folkestone, Canterbury or Dover with your own transport.

My client is looking for a pro-active Transport Planner, with experience of both manual and automated planning, system implementation would be beneficial but not essential.

Directly reporting into the Transport Manager, you will enjoy the buzz of a busy transport environment and be responsible for planning a fleet of around 21 artic vehicles and 3rd party logistics.

The role requires an individual who has a business acumen and is competent in planning for both full and part loads. Your focus will be on reducing costs and pro-actively looking at ways to make the whole operation as efficient as it can be. Identifying areas of continuous improvement will come naturally to you, and the end customer will always be a priority to you.

It is essential that you possess excellent communication and organisational skills, are flexible, show a willingness in wanting to get stuck in and can work effectively in a friendly hard-working team. Excellent geographical knowledge is essential.

This is a Monday to Friday day position with and excellent package available for the successful candidate.
