Sunray Engineering Limited are a leading and specialist Manufacturer and Installer of Steel Security and Fire Doors as well as associated products such as Louvre Panels, Solid Panels and Access Hatches to a diverse range of specifiers across the UK and Worldwide. Due to continued growth we now seek to enhance our Paint facility with a qualified and experienced operative.
We operate to a number of Quality Standards and are an Akzo Nobel/Interpon approved applicator of their extensive range of Powder Coatings.

Sunray is based in Ashford, Kent and near to all major routes in and out of the region.

Salary: £12.30 - £14.50 PH (Average rate based on cumulative earnings).
Type of Contract: Full Time Position

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable individual to work within our Paint Operation Team. The ideal person would have proven experience in a similar environment and have skills within the following areas,

• Carrying out the critical pre-paint preparation of all steel products, which includes Doors, Panels, Screens and Fittings, using a newly installed shot blasting facility within a controlled environment.

• Methodically Painting and Finishing of the prepared products adhering to strong quality control measures when applying primer and paint applications. This is a Powder Coat Facility however certain products require a wet spray or Red Oxide coating.

• Undertaking detailed quality inspections during and after the paint applications to ensure standards, procedures and expectations are being upheld.

• Upon satisfactory inspection of finished goods, packaging each product carefully to eliminate transport damage ready for despatch.

• Assisting with the loading of goods ready for despatch to the customer, ensuring correct labelling is on the packaging.

If you have a methodical hard-working ethos, flexible attitude with the ability to learn and work quickly and retain information due to the large number of variations of products, work as part of a team but with minimal supervision we want to hear from you.

Standard Hours of work: 40.25 hours per week plus paid lunch break of 45minutes.
Monday – Thursday 08.00am – 17.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm

Additional hours / overtime will be required to help meet business demands.

25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
