We are currently working with a leading FMCG distributor, based in Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking experienced Quality Controllers to ensure all produce dispatched meets all customer requirements of safety, quality, and legality.

The Quality Controller will be responsible for:

Ensuring all product packaging and detail meets or exceeds the customer's legal standards
Maintain an understanding of each customers labelling and packaging specifications
Continually monitor labelling and packaging standards of the packed product
Ensure accuracy of date coding, barcoding, and all other pack and outer case labels information is correct
Ensure all associated promotional detail, ribbon and any other form of additional pack information is correct
Ensure that the correct packaging is being used as per customer requirements
Responsible for raw material checks
Responsible for collecting shelf life samples
Set up quality standards on the line before production starts
To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to the Line Leader or Shift Production Manager
To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping to BRC and HACCP Food Standards at all times

The Quality Controller will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a temperature-controlled environment
Experience working in a packhouse/production environment
Knowledge of fresh produce standards
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work as a team and do repetitive work
Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines

Both night shift and day shifts are available - 6am-6pm 4 on 4 off (£9.92ph) or 6pm-6am 4 on 4 off (£10.42ph)
