Working pattern: Full-time position (to be worked on a rota between 8am and 10.30pm inclusive of weekends and bank holidays)

Salary: £20,886 gross per annum (rising to £23,584 after 5 years’ service) plus 5% shift premium (pro rata)

Contract Fixed Term: 1 year

The role will involve: Working with people living in Porchlight Supported accommodation and in community settings to prevent them from becoming homeless and rebuilding family relationships. Providing the support needed to overcome the trauma of homelessness and rebuild their lives, including helping them with mental health and substance misuse, accessing housing benefits, getting into education and employment and setting up home.

What you need: Excellent communication and people skills. Some knowledge / experience of working with homeless or vulnerable people however candidates without this experience / knowledge will still be considered as full training and ongoing support will be provided. Driver with own transport

- Flexible support is provided for as long as is needed
- Housing and support are separated
- Individuals have choice and control
- An active engagement approach is used
- People are supported to identify their strengths, goals and aspirations
- A harm reduction approach is used
