We are proud to be working with an independently owned family business who are seeking to appoint a Stores Controller to a newly created role which has come about through impressive growth in their business.
This role is rarely available, as the client has impressive staff retention levels and will suit someone who can be an effective team player - making sure that the job role is completed to the highest standard whilst supporting the other areas of the business as required to ensure high customer satisfaction levels and compliance.
Key duties will include:
* Organising the stores department to provide a clear, well stocked environment
* Taking stock counts to reconcile against budgets and orders
* Ordering stock on a regular basis to ensure the stores are fully stocked - negotiating and management of supply chain
* Taking orders over the phone for parts
* Occasionally driving to collect/deliver parts
* Dealing with orders from walk in customers
* Supporting the admin team with booking in of work
* Maintain accurate computer records for the stock holding
A driving licence will be essential and a commercial industrial engineering background would be an advantage
