We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager/Bookkeeper to join our small company based on the outskirts of Canterbury which benefits from onsite parking.
Working as part of a small friendly team, the successful candidate’s role would include processing all sales and purchase ledger invoices, reconciliation of bank accounts & credit cards, completing VAT returns & submission to HMRC, managing CIS submissions and payments, monthly reconciliations, processing staff payroll and expenses, preparing monthly management reports, budgets and cash flow, Pensions and taking accounts through to trial balance stage.
As it is a small company you would also be expected to take on basic administrative roles such as answering the phone and redirecting calls to the right person, help with purchase orders & invoicing and answering queries from clients / suppliers.
The position is full time (40 hours per week) and your starting salary will be dependent on your level of experience/ qualification.
You should hold a professional bookkeeping qualification or AAT qualification, or higher and useful skills would include:
• Good Level of Computer Knowledge
• Competency in Microsoft programs
• Knowledge of Bookkeeping software - Quickbooks / Xero & Sage
• Good knowledge of Bookkeeping
