A very busy 10m+ turnover National M&E contractor based in Bobbing, Sittingbourne (ME10 5BH) require an Finance Assistant, but one who doesn't want to just be bogged down with accounts all day!!
Reporting directly to Finance Manager, the role will be varied and cover all aspects of accounting function and also significant input to our service and maintenance department.
Job Description:
A significant part of this role, is taking responsibility for the sales invoicing and job costing across our service department.
Once the works have been completed, the invoice must be prepared, based on time spent on site, along with materials and associated costs, this must then be entered not only on our software (Joblogic) but also our clients portal which are called Pronett or Verisae generally (knowledge of these packages a significant advantage).
You will look after all aspects of the financial function for the Service Department, from planned maintenance, to reactive calls and then quoted works also, ensuring our costs are recorded accurately via our engineers Mobile App, through to ensuring we are charging the correct agreed rates with our client base.
This is a role, where attention to detail is ESSENTIAL, patience as some jobs can become difficult with revisits etc and engineers at times not using App perfectly, having the desire for this to be done correctly is absolutely key to the success of this candidate.
Someone who is a stickler for detail, someone who doesn't want to just clear their desk, but take their time and ensure every cost is attributed and invoiced correctly.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to learn new software packages, get involved in other areas of the business and not just accounts, as you will learn all aspects of the Service & Maintenance department.
General Accounts support functions such as:
1. Inputting Supplier invoices
2. Calculation of staff timesheets
3. Checking staff expenses
4. Credit Control
Real Bonus, but not essential:
Experience within a Maintenance/FM environment
Knowledge of Pronett/Verisae/Joblogic software packages
Immediately Available
You will require the below as a minimum:
Excellent Microsoft skills
Minimum 5 years experience in Sales Ledger
Excellent knowledge of Sage Line 50
ACCURATE NUMERICAL INPUTTING
Desire for the job to be done correctly.
