We are seeking to appoint a lecturer who can help us to deliver an excellent standard of education across a range of undergraduate programmes in computer science. You will prepare and deliver lectures, practical classes, small-group teaching, project supervision and student support, and will have responsibility for setting and marking assessments and exams.
As Lecturer in Computing you will:
undertake teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students, including the development of new modules and providing support for student learning
collaborate with colleagues in the School on course development, delivery and assessment, taking on appropriate management and administrative responsibilities
maintain cutting-edge knowledge in relevant areas through continuing professional development (CPD)
To succeed in this role you will have:
possess sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge to deliver and excellent standard of classroom and practical teaching up to and including final year undergraduate level in computer science
ability to develop a variety of strategies to promote and assess learning
ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn
