This Job Has Expired! This advert has now been deleted by the advertiser, the details below are for information only.

Here at Maidstone we have created a housing management and support function to manage and oversee our temporary accommodation and other residential sites across the district. We are looking for a passionate Accommodation Officer to work within the team.

We are looking for an individual who is motivated with the ability to work in a changing and dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Our accommodation service at times can be very pressurised, with competing priorities, so we are looking for a colleague who thrives on a challenge.

The role will require an excellent ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, support homeless households into and out of accommodation, providing on-going support to individuals with complex needs, undertaking health and safety checks and monitoring of accommodation to ensure it is safe and fit for purpose.

Some weekends, evenings and early mornings, work may be required. You will also be required to work an Out of Hours on-call rota which is about one week every eight.

Maidstone Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expects all employee and volunteers to share this commitment.

The Council considers that the successful applicant will have access to young people and/or vulnerable adults and it is a requirement under The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 that you hold an enhanced disclosure and barring scheme check. Upon successful appointment, you will be required to provide evidence of an enhanced DBS check if you subscribe to the DBS Update Service or complete the process to obtain a DBS check.
