Our client is a leading Independent Fostering Agency, specialising in the care of children with complex medical needs and physical and learning disabilities. They remain a market leader for provision of this service to Local Authorities.

Our client is looking to enhance their business growth and attract more foster carers to enable them to offer increased placement choice for children.

This is a newly created role for a Fostering Team Manager to join a lovely company and friendly team, covering the South East of England.

The role is home based with a willingness to travel across the region and attend the office, as required for meetings etc.

As part of the management team you will play an integral part in their recruitment plans for foster carers and the management and supervision of social workers and some operational staff.

You will oversee the Placement team staff, including the referral and matching of children to foster carers.

In addition, you will have line management of a small number of social workers and provide social work management support across the agency in conjunction with other fostering team managers and take a lead in the recruitment of carers and placement of children in the region.

Knowledge & experience we are seeking in an individual:
Experience of supervising and managing social work staff
Experience of working with children in care
Knowledge of Fostering Services Regs 2011 & National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services

Education & qualifications:
CQSW, Dip SW or Degree in Social Work
Registered with Social Work England

Naturally, our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, so all roles within the company are subject to enhanced DBS and local authority checks.
Package:
An exceptional salary of between £40,800.00 - £45,900.00 per annum is available.
Plus £3,600.00 on call allowance.
Car mileage £0.45 per mile
Generous annual leave entitlement

Health & Wellbeing Package
You will be required to participate in the Out of Hours Service Manager rota.
