Business Development Executive

Barker Munro Recruitment, insurance recruitment specialists, is working with a recognised and established Insurance business with offices across the UK and who now have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Executive within the broker division.

As a Business Development Executive you will work within a busy and target driven sales team, developing business through a designated target list of clients across the UK. You will investigate and develop an overview on the business plans, to deliver products, services and insurance solutions that create mutual value. You will endeavour to create and develop your panel of clients at all opportunities offering commercial insurance products and services.

You will operate across a specific geographical area through the UK, basing yourself from Kent, reporting into the office when required and being supported by an internal broker team.

To be the successful candidate for this exciting role you must be able to demonstrate a proven ability and knowledge of the General Insurance market within the UK. You will actively seek to deliver and respond to all new business opportunities whilst exceeding your targets. The role will concentrate on new business across the SME commercial insurance marker. You will be technically strong and will be a confident point of contact for less experienced members of staff on Insurance matters but most importantly, be able to forge and foster long standing relationships and be driven by securing new business opportunities at every turn. Our Client seeks a keen negotiator with fantastic communication skills, who thrives within a target driven environment.
