Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential?

Are you confident, self-motivated, flexible, and have a ‘can do’ attitude?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established team delivering Young Carer services in the South East. Full time positions are available in Tunbridge Wells and Dartford/Southwark. You will be responsible for your dedicated area, manage an existing caseload and new referrals, and deliver a programme of monthly themed workshops. In this role, you will assess Young Carers in schools and meet with families in their own homes. It is essential that you have access to your own car for work.

Using the Young Carer service toolkit, you will provide short-term interventions that support Young Carers to improve their resilience, educational chances and wellbeing. This might include signposting to local and community services, action planning, one-to-one support, or our 12-month workshop programme.

Building trusted relationships, you will make referrals to a range of professionals, including health and social care, ensuring whole family needs are met and reducing the impact of caring on the young person. You will respond to challenging and complex situations in line with our Safeguarding and Lone Working Policies.

A key aspect of this role is to raise awareness and identify hidden Young Carers. You will have the opportunity to work with schools to train staff and develop a support programme for students, as well as developing wider networks.

You can make the difference and give a Young Carer their childhood back.
