Customs Clearance Clerk
Location - Folkestone
Salary - £19,000 (Incremental salary increases during training)
Shifts: Working 8am - 8pm and 8pm - 8am (1 hr lunch)
You will work 60 hrs in Weeks 1/3 and 24 hrs in Weeks 2/4.
Please note that the start date for these roles will be October 2020 with the interview process starting at the end of August 2020.
The role
This is a unique opportunity to join the shipping and logistics industry, the role will involve determining the levels of duties and taxes to be paid including the process of payments on behalf of the client.
This is a very rewarding role and the client also offers a development programme so that you can progress with your logistics career.
The company
Our client provides an extensive range of services to commercial vehicle operators throughout Europe. These include roll-on and roll-off ferry freight bookings, customs clearance, European motorway and tunnel toll tickets and electronic tags as well Bureau de Change.
The person
* Computer literate in Windows
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Engaging, enthusiastic, self-motivated, confident, self-assured and a team player
* Due to the location must be able to drive
