Company: Goody Demolition Ltd is a leading demolition contractor based in Aylesham, near Canterbury in Kent.
Purpose:
• We are looking to recruit an assistant to the operations team help manage the training and facilities requirements of the company. The candidate will assist the contracts director and estimating department with a variety of tasks in order that the department runs smoothly.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist the operation team with –
• Preparing the training requirements
• Updating the training matrix and keeping tickets in date
• Liaising with training providers and personnel to arrange training
• Dealing with facilities issues
• Procuring and comparing prices from suppliers / sub-contractors
• Using various computer programmes including word, excel, project and other office suite programmes
• Assessing method statement and risk assessments from sub-contractors
• Ad hoc duties to support the operations team and the managing director
Personal Specification:
• Training will be given however experience of working in an office environment would be advantageous, as would a basic understanding of the construction industry.
• Ability to multi task and meet deadlines, whilst under pressure.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Hardworking; enthusiastic and highly motivated
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are key
• Educated to GCSE standard with a minimum of Grade C or above in Maths and English
• Accurate, numerate with excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office)
Hours of work are 8.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Salary will be dependent on experience.
