Quality EH&S Manager
£32,000 - £38,000/pa depending on experience + Benefits

12 month fixed term contract with potential extension.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading electronics manufacturer as the Quality Manager. Using your experience of electronics manufacturing you will coordinate all activities and resources to ensure that the company complies with all the regulatory and legislative requirements.

Role Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that the Quality Department runs effectively.
* Maintain and manage the company quality policy
* Ensure that customer satisfaction and supplier quality assurance matters are dealt with proactively.
* Keeping up to date with all relevant standards, assess the impact on the business, communicate changes and ensure that they are applied where relevant.
* Managing documentation systems (the standards library, test reports and certificates) to ensure that the latest versions are available and previous issues are archived.
* Ensure that all required documentation and materials are available and to the required standard when new products are released.
* Ensure all released products are manufactured to applicable design documentation and technical specifications.
* Ensure all agreed changes to released products and processes are implemented and the change documentation is fully maintained.
* Manage routine checking and verification of golden samples with test house.
* Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement (CI) strategy throughout the business.
* Take the lead on defining and implementing product and process improvements through the use of recognised CI methodologies.
* Management Representative (as per ISO 9001 clause 5.5.2, ISO14001 clause 4.4.1 and ISO13485 clause 5.5.2).
* Nominated Person for 3rd Party Approvals Bodies for both Factory Production Control and Third-Party Certification.
* Recommend changes to working practices where necessary to comply with new UK or EU legislation.
* Ensure the Quality System and H&S audits are carried out to a plan and to liaise with internal and external auditors.
* Work with senior management and others to identify and implement company-wide health and safety, (H&S) requirements.
* Promote an H&S culture throughout the business
* Conduct risk assessments in accordance with agreed policy and procedures.
* Ensure that Head Office premises and field-based staff meet H&S requirements.
* Advise managers on matters of H&S and Environmental issues.

Candidate Profile:
* Managing Quality performance in an electronics manufacturing company.
* Accredited or demonstrable management skills.
* ISO 9001 Internal and Lead Auditor Qualifications.
* Data Analysis skills are relevant to producing Quality Statistical and Analytical reports.
* Recognised Health and Safety qualification.
* Excellent understanding of the electronic assembly process.
