Embroidery Operator – Temporary Contract

S Simmonds & Son Ltd. Are looking to recruit a Temporary Embroidery Operator to work at our warehouse and distribution centre in Paddock Wood. This is a 3 month contract. For 7 hours per day with 2 shifts available early starting at 7.00am and late shift starting at 2.00pm. Worked over 5 days Monday to Saturday. Additional hours are likely to be available.

Main Duties
Working with the Embroidery Manager, you will be embroidering badges and initials directly on to school uniform using our commercial embroidery machines.
Organising and processing embroidery efficiently.
Maintaining a sound understanding and adherence to our company conduct and quality policies.
To ensure the company maintains its company objective (quality, value and service).
Provide the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and senior staff with management information.

Key Attributes & Skills
Our successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a warehouse environment.
Knowledge of operating a Tajima embroidery machine would be ideal but we will offer full training for the right candidate.
Maths and English to GCSE /NVQ L2.
Computer literate and able to confidently use a PC.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to balance a range of tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Sewing and alteration skills would be desirable for this role but not essential.
Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures in the workplace.
