THE COMPANY
The Raphael Hospital, soon to be re-branded as Hollanden Park Hospital, is an independent hospital, specialising in the neurorehabilitation of adults following traumatic brain injury or neurological disease, for example, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. We pride ourselves on exceptional care and unrivalled facilities, all delivered from our hospital based in a Grade 2 listed building, set in scenic and tranquil surroundings on the outskirts of Tonbridge.
Due to ongoing expansion plans, we currently have several Healthcare Assistant vacancies, for individuals who are keen to be part of our forward-thinking and progressive service.
WE WILL INVEST IN YOU AND DEVELOP YOU – COME AND TALK TO US.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out personal care as needed, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting needs whilst ensuring adequate
nutritional intake.
• Escort and support patients to other departments, hospitals and on external visits/trips.
• Ensure all care plan and care record documentation is up-to-date, comprehensive, accurate and legally compliant.
• To communicate with members of the team in a manner that promotes effective team working.
• Help improve patients’ quality of life by ensuring their needs are met and that each person is always treated with dignity and respect.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• 1 years’ experience in a similar role/environment (Desirable)
• Sound understanding of good healthcare principles
• Understanding of role of the Care Quality Commission
• Understanding of safeguarding adults’ requirements
RELEVANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Strives to reach the highest standards in customer service
• Communicates effectively, both verbally and non-verbally
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic
• Flexible and approachable with a positive attitude, even under pressure
