Due to company growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic 1st Line Technician to join our team. Based in Tunbridge Wells, Fluent Technologies are a fast-growing IT services provider, and are part of the larger Fluent Group which covers Telecoms services, as well as data/mobile services.

We are recruiting for a 1st Line Technician to expand our team and are looking for an individual with a good work ethic, someone willing going the extra mile for a customer, but also who can have a laugh as we have a great office atmosphere.

As a 1st line Technician you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing remote support and troubleshooting on a very mixed range of issues. There will be exposure to more technical issues, and the team are always happy to help and improve a colleague’s technical knowledge. You will also attend customer sites with a senior technician to aid with development and experience.

We operate a policy of promotion from within – all our technicians have had at least one promotion in the last year – so there is progression, and a career for the right candidate.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Resolving IT issues remotely over the phone and via email
• Troubleshooting desktop software and hardware issues
• Building, repairing and configuring desktop machines for customers
• Troubleshooting basic printer issues
• Setting up new user accounts and mailboxes
• Setting up email accounts on mobile devices
• Troubleshooting basic network issues such as incorrect TCP/IP settings
• Liaising with external suppliers in regard to equipment repair under warranty

Desired skills:
• Microsoft Office and Office 365
• Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10
• Basic understanding of Windows networking and some TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• Communication skills
• Good time keeping
• Capable of working well under pressure

• Company vehicles provided for site visits

The salary on offer is up to £21,000 DOE, incentives and Workplace pension. 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
