Support workers needed for residential settings that cater for Hearing Loss - East Kent

We are currently looking for dedicated support workers in the East Kent area looking for temporary work, to join us and support individuals who are deaf with additional needs such as learning disabilities and complex needs

We are working closely with a client that runs a group of residential care homes for adults who have hearing loss, learning disabilities as well as other medical conditions. Our client regularly needs additional support therefore we are looking to speak to experienced Support Workers local to Westgate on Sea, Canterbury and other East Kent settings. At Hays, we are able to offer flexibility in terms of working hours, that suit you. Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time work, we want to hear from you.

Your new role

As a support worker you will be assisting with communication, developing residents independent living skills such as: managing their money, cooking, running their home & shopping. You will also support them to develop friendships, find work and access their wider community. Throughout our clients residential services, you will be expected to deliver Personal Care and promote independence to all of the people we support.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you should be passionate about providing a high level of care, dedicated to your role as a support worker and have the ability to offer kindness and compassion.

For these particular settings you we are looking for experienced Support Workers that hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Although BSL - British Sign Language is not compulsory it was be an advantage, along with experience working with those who have hearing or sight loss. It is not essential to hold a driving license; however this is preferable.
