This Job Has Expired! This advert has now been deleted by the advertiser, the details below are for information only.

Age UK North West Kent is an independent charity providing highly regarded services, support and activities for older people, since its formation in 2011. The charity enjoys a formal relationship, as a Brand Partner, with the national charity Age UK.

The charity’s first CEO will be retiring at the end of August and Trustees now seek to appoint an equally capable successor to shape a strategy for the organisation in the next phase of its development.

The CEO will lead a committed and effective team delivering high-quality services. She or he will work closely with trustees both in managing the impact of the Covid-19 emergency and in setting out a longer-term vision for the charity in the post-Covid era – seizing opportunities as well as addressing challenges.

Applicants may come from a range of backgrounds but familiarity with the social care landscape is highly desirable. Proven leadership and management experience is essential, including revenue and cost management and a demonstrated ability to embrace and lead change.

Trustees seek a team player with the vision and energy to maximise the charity’s support to older people. Excellent communication skills are of course required, along with real leadership ability in the context of leading and inspiring a small team of committed individuals, including volunteers. The successful candidate will demonstrate a caring ethos, whilst at the same time being resilient and determined.

This leadership opportunity will appeal to candidates who are both committed to making a difference at a local level and at the same time will relish the strategic challenge of shaping an organisation for a sustainable future.
