Description

As the UK’s leading parcel delivery business operating on a UK wide basis, you’ll no doubt have seen our vans on the road. We have over 45 years behind us and know what makes our operation tick; Fantastic people and amazing service, delivered by our state of the art technology to ensure an incredible customer experience…and that is why we are so successful.

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be a pivotal part of our company. You will be responsible for your own sales target and lead generation. This role would suit someone who has a passion for sales, is driven and is not afraid to pick up the phone! You must be comfortable in cold calling and building a strong rapport and relationship with people supporting a professional and consultative approach.

Whether you are out on the road meeting and greeting customers, or working alongside our fantastic team of Customer service and Operations Managers, you will be the face of our Company and the heart of our customer service.

This opportunity is limitless and there are no caps to the commission you can earn. All we ask is that you put 110% into the role and we are certain you will reap the rewards in return.

To maintain our track record of customer retention, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have no reason to look elsewhere, so a customer enthusiast is a must for this role.

We are looking for an individual with the ability to build excellent rapport with our customers along with proven experience in the world of sales and business development. If you believe you have what it takes to bring a new dimension of service to our business then you are exactly the person we would like to meet.

By no means is this an ‘easy’ job role so if you are looking for a challenge in a fast-paced, team focused environment then this may well be the opportunity for you.


Key responsibilities include:

Growing our customer base through new sales and upselling
Meeting all given KPIs
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
Being an absolute legend
Liaising with our operations team to ensure expected service is given
Dealing with escalations and account queries
Using an industry leading sales tool to manage and record the sales process and supporting the existing sales team in this area
Monitor performance of new customers to ensure they trade to agreed profile
Identifying ways to increase return to the business
Cold calling
Routine customer care calls


Attributes:

A strong background of industry sales experience is essential
Proven track record of success
The ability to self-motivate
Positive mind set
The ability to deliver results & meet expectations
Confidence in meeting customers face to face
Experience in using salesforce is preferred but not essential
The ability to negotiate & close deals
Confidence in liaising both internally & externally
Organisation and time management skills
Presenting & communicating information well
Problem solving skills
Ability to analyse customer data
