An established manufacturing business is strengthening their quality department and require an experienced Quality Inspector to join an existing team.
You will be responsible for ensuring that components produced are of the best quality and correct to customer specifications. Duties will include:
* Ensure that components produced are of the best quality;
* Components produced are correct to customer specifications;
* Verify dimensions;
* Check first offs that require second checking;
* Carry out goods inwards inspection of material and components received from suppliers;
* Inspect components before they are sent out to customer;
* Record non-conforming products;
* Create plans to improve product quality;
* Identify causes for non-conformance; improve the product quality; discuss recommended actions;
* Assist with the calibration of company equipment as required.
You must be able to read engineering drawings, have experience of specialist measuring equipment to include vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, slip gauges, X-Ray, clock & stand, depth micrometer and RA Tester and be competent in the calibration of equipment and gauges.
