You will lead, motivate and manage a production team of approximately 40 employees driving shift performance, and team engagement to improve roastery production standards, whilst meeting agreed daily, weekly and monthly targets and contributing to roastery and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
•Manage the availability of resource against the shift plan and work with demand planner to optimise resource,
•co-coordinating maintenance activities in conjunction with engineering team to deliver planned, reactive and autonomous maintenance to minimise production disruption.
•Ensure operational control systems are always in place and adhered to, undertake and complete thorough handovers with outgoing/incoming Shift Manager to minimise downtime and maximise performance.
•Identify bottlenecks using lean techniques, effective reporting, facilitate basic problem solving with relevant team members and lead continuous improvement activities on shift.
•Maintain and continually improve agreed standards of quality, ensuring the implementation and adherence of quality assurance procedures to protect product integrity, completing accurate recording and reporting of KPI and OEE data per shift.
•Proactively lead and manage any concerns relating to a team member’s performance, conduct and attendance, in line with Company's recruitment, induction, disciplinary and grievance policy and procedure.
•Maintain and continually improve agreed standards of quality, ensuring the implementation and adherence of quality assurance procedures to protect product integrity, completing accurate recording and reporting of KPI and OEE data per shift.
•Actively drive and execute health & safety and GMP standards throughout shift operation, ensuring adherence, compliance and active participation in company activities to ensure practices are met and to exceed the company targets of risk management and accident reduction.
•Carry out any reasonable requests by any member of management within the reasonable scope of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•Solid shift management experience within food & Drink manufacturing environment
•Relevant degree qualification, or equivalent is desirable
•Good working knowledge of KPI’s and organisational financial performance
•Proven ability to motivate and foster a positive learning and working environment
•Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and peers.
•Confident user of Microsoft Office applications skills and business systems
•Good understanding of Health and Safety at work i.e. COSHH, Risk Assessments
•Good knowledge of GMP, BRC requirements and HACCP and Food Safety
•Flexible approach to work: 3 shift pattern: early, late, nights in rotation

Salary: competitive annual salary + 25 days Holiday + other Company benefits.
