L&Q is seeking a skilled and experienced Property Building Surveyor to support our Direct Maintenance Division, providing high levels of technical support to the team. Covering L&Q's South Neighbourhood, which includes Southwark, Lambert and surrounding area.

You will have a wide range of specialist skills including property surveying, building and construction methods. With a knowledge of Health and Safety Practices, contract and housing law gained preferably from working in a social housing environment.

You will carry out detailed inspections and surveys, providing technical advice and specifications as well as cost projections and condition reports.

You will be a self-motivated, professional individual who is able to communicate and influence working with a wide range of stakeholders.

To be shortlisted you must be able to clearly demonstrate the following:

Direct Maintenance Building surveying skills and knowledge of construction method

Experience of working in Social Housing

Understanding of contract law and excellent knowledge of standard form contracts and disrepair case

Knowledge of Health and Safety practices

Experience of managing contractors

A broad range of communication and influencing skills

Strong organisation and prioritising ability

Customer Care

Car owner/ driver
