Our client is a long established, Rochester based distributor of general engineering components, who supply to local blue-chip end users and small to medium sized OEMs.
The business requires an Internal Sales person to complement their existing team in handling day-to-day customer orders and enquiries, as well as ensuring their stores are accurate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and support to external customers, whilst developing and maintaining customer relationships and promoting products and services to maximise sales opportunities. You will be inputting sales orders, dealing with delivery notes, booking in stock and invoicing goods out. In addition, there will be responsibility for packing and unpacking goods into the business.
As there will be a high degree of dealing with part numbers, numeric accuracy is essential. Previous experience of working in an environment involving inputting part numbers would be advantageous.
You will be enthusiastic with your customer support and servicing skills. Have full knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems. Possess a good level of education is required, with at least GSCEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and can work unsupervised or as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
