Hospitality, Events and Catering Traineeship – Live-in position

Salary: National Living Wage, plus free accommodation including all bills in a studio flat at Bore Place.

Hours: 40 hours per week, made up of 30 hours per week, worked flexibly including weekend and evenings when required & 10 hours a week unpaid traineeship, as well as some on-call commitments.



We are looking for a Hospitality, Events and Catering Trainee to join the team at Bore Place, a non-profit organisation committed to a world where people and nature work together to regenerate the planet and ourselves. Situated on a 500-acre organic farm estate in West Kent we offer a unique venue with sustainability at its heart. The organisation is home to a charity delivering programmes for young people, public and private events and courses, holiday cottages, as well as a home for complementary rural businesses.



The position is live-in and includes a studio flat onsite at the beautiful Bore Place estate. This role will be integral to the smooth running of the organisation and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn hosting and hospitality skills, as well as event management, whilst playing a key role in delivering excellent service to our guests. Ten hours a week will be dedicated to training to include food safety, health and safety, customer service and other housekeeping skills. You will get to be part of a fantastic team, gain broad experience at the heart of the organisation and live on a 500-acre estate in glorious Kent countryside.



We are looking for a keen and mature self-starter, eager to learn who will undertake their work cheerfully and with enthusiasm and who takes pride in housekeeping and cleaning. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet and is a real team player, as well as being committed to the wider mission of Bore Place.
