Scaffold Design Engineer £40K-£50K

Our client, a Scaffolding, Insulation and Asbestos Management Specialist, are currently recruiting for a Scaffold Design Engineer.

Reporting to the Senior Scaffold Design Engineer, duties will include:



* Providing calculations and AutoCAD drawings for the design of temporary structures
* Calculations to be done via various analysis software and hand calculations to check stability, reactions, leg loads, bending moments, shear force and the deflection of structural members.
* Consult with site engineers and project managers to arrange design meetings and site visits.
* Site visits include surveying the area to check structural requirements of the scaffold and highlight any potential obstructions or site hazards.
* To instruct and guide apprentice design engineers; teaching them fundamental concepts of structural analysis and design as well as assessing their AutoCAD drawings.
* Independently meeting and liaising with clients and understanding their requirements



Ideally applicants will have at least 2 years' previous experience along with (ideally) a qualification in Civil Engineering.



Location: Rochester, Kent



Salary: £40K-£50K
