An opportunity to join our fast-moving Quantity Surveying Firm. Due to an increase in current workload and sustained growth, the business now requires an experienced Bookkeeper to join us on a permanent basis at our office in Kent.
You will need to demonstrate a clear career history as a Bookkeeper, with previous experience working in the Construction Industry and use of accounting software Xero.
The Role:
• Managing weekly payroll to contractors/consultants
• Managing bi-weekly invoice processing
• Credit Control
• Weekly Cash Flows/Budgets
• Management Accounts
• Bank Reconciliation
• Monthly payroll for staff
• Managing and submitting Quarterly VAT Return
• Preparing and submitting monthly CIS returns for building companies
• Preparing and submitting monthly PAYE returns for building companies
• Liaising with company Accountants
• Liaising with HMRC when necessary
• Monthly sales reporting for Finance meetings
• Managing company accounts software Xero
• Posting manual journals
• Updating weekly WIP
• General Bookkeeping duties
The Person:
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or similar position
• Previous experience in the construction industry
• Good communication skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Experienced in using Xero Software
