A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be part of a busy design studio team working for a greeting card publisher. We are looking for a bright, proactive and flexible individual to undertake tasks associated with an artwork formatting role.

The role will be varied and broad with responsibilities that include (but are not limited to) :
• Formatting and preparation of artwork through to print ready files; including cleaning of artwork and creation of treatment layers
• Sourcing of images/artwork and verse from agencies/freelance artists
• Mock-up samples of new concept ideas
• Creation of PDFs of new potential designs for discussion with management/sales team
• Creation of Point of Sale materials – e.g. header boards
• Creation of Visual Aids/brochures for the sales team
• Raise official purchase orders for artwork and verse
• Liaising directly with customers, suppliers and colleagues professionally and efficiently
• Creating print ready layouts in InDesign
• Studio administration tasks to facilitate our team working effectively

Essential Skills
• Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign in a Mac based environment is essential
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator in a Mac based environment is useful
• Attention to detail and accuracy a must
• Ability to establish effective working relationships, within the studio team and also to ensure complete customer satisfaction and confidence
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects and the initiative to prioritise those jobs accordingly
• Ability to work under time pressure, be customer focussed and respond well to last minute changes.

Advantageous Skills
• Understanding of print production / colour management / Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• A creative eye

We aim to maintain a friendly and dynamic workplace and for the successful applicant this will be a chance to take on a role with plenty of scope for growth and development.

The position is a full time role Monday – Friday with working hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Due to the rural location of our offices it is important that you consider transport issues.
