The Job Role
Rap Interiors, based in Maidstone seeks a competent worker with onsite skills to deal with small works, plus as a smaller part of the role you will be required to carry out deliveries of materials to sites in the South East.


This role would suit someone who had perhaps been self-employed and previously worked on fit outs and refurbishments.
Must be a keen, hardworking individual with a practical skill set.
Some of our work takes us throughout the UK.


It would be great if the applicant lived within 20 miles of Kent HQ office so travelling to and from the office doesn’t cause a problem long term.


Skills
We require someone who has knowledge and practical experience in the building trade as some of our projects require small jobs which we undertake in house.
This is a key role that enables projects to run fluidly.
The role includes management of warehouse and stock control, delivery of materials including plasterboard and timber etc. and site set up, site clearances, general work such as demolition, decorating, small plastering works, carpentry skills a bonus: door hanging, cutting in of carpet tiles, hang TVs, installing shelves, hanging doors or pictures etc etc.


Some of these works will form part of our final small snagging completion works on projects.
Basic IT skills as our records are held on computer.


Personal skills should include a sense of humour, excellent time keeping, willing attitude to work with the office based team, excellent attitude to customer service at all times, good driving skills and knowledge of route planning.
Some early morning starts (am) as requirements to site can be at 7.30 am to ensure deliveries are on site for contractors to start. Hours are flexible if you start early and if the day finishes early and all jobs are up to date you can leave early.
This is a busy role in a busy company and the ability to retain information, multitask and think outside the box is a must.
Good communication skills with the Projects Managers essential.



Qualifications
We do not expect everyone to have everything, so training will be provided.
However, having qualifications in the following would be beneficial:

- CSCS
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- First Aid
- Clean Drivers Licence (Due to insurance limitations drivers must be over 25.)




What Can You Expect
Start date – immediately Salary £28-30k dependant on experience/skills.
Timesheets are kept to track hours worked. Paid on an hourly rate.
A company van will be provided for work use to and from site.

Ability to work weekends as needed for projects support which is paid at an enhanced rate.

Rap Interiors offer a Pension scheme, 20 days holiday plus Bank holidays and your birthday off.
We do have an office dog, so please bear this in mind, as not everyone likes working with animals.
