SALARY: £22,000 circa

HOURS: 37.5 per week

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

A community charity, Groundwork South, we are changing places, changing lives across the South of England, one green step at a time

We currently have vacancies for two Home Energy Advisors (Green Doctors) to join our team at Groundwork South. The Home Energy Advisor (Green Doctor) will work on a variety of projects delivering home energy efficiency visits mainly to vulnerable residents for whom a visit can make a significant impact. These visits are a mixture of installing low cost measures, providing advice and guidance, and referring residents on to further services and agencies for wider energy saving and wellbeing support.

You will have a good knowledge of fuel poverty and the effects it has on the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people, along with the negative health implications of living in a cold home.

The postholder will need knowledge of energy efficiency and home energy products and the ability to provide advice in relation to them.

Office Location in Kent: Riverside Community Centre, Dickens Road, Gravesend, DA12 2JY
Office Location in Thames Valley: Iver Environment Centre, Slough Road, Iver, Bucks, SL0 0EB

Candidates will need to hold a full UK manual driving licence. A leased van will be provided for business use only. Due to insurance provision, candidates must be aged 21 plus with more than 12 months driving history.

This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Full UK driving licence which must be held for at least 12 months. Due to insurance provision, candidates must be aged 21 plus with more than 12 months driving history.
