Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Estimator to join their construction company based in Rochester, Kent.
The role entails;
• Speaking to clients to find out what they want
• Helping with bids for new contracts including preparing tenders
• Researching the material, labour and equipment costs for each project
• Risk assessing each project
• Speaking to sub contractors and gathering quotes
• Gathering quotes from suppliers
• Preparing and submitting quotes for work
• Monitoring each stage of a project to ensure that the costs are kept in line with forecasts
• Working within timescales set by the site manager
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
• Having experience as an estimator in the construction industry, experience with interior design would be beneficial
• At least 3 years experience as an estimator
• A university degree in Quantity surveying or Construction Management would be beneficial
• Good communication skills
The salary for this role is up to £40,000 but is flexible
