Support Worker/ Care Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and caring individuals to join our friendly team supporting gentlemen with learning disabilities in Charing, near Ashford, Kent. We have a diverse staff team of all ages, experiences and backgrounds.
Cosy Lodge is a care home which provides care and support for up to 7 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. We support the adults to live full, fun, social and independent lives.
We provide individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve.
No two days are the same in this really rewarding career, supporting with all aspects of the persons life including daily activities, day trips, independence and skill building.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
To support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events
To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
To work as part of a team to provide high quality care
No experience required, but the successful candidate will have a positive and friendly attitude, the will to learn and grow, excellent communication skills, a passion to help others, and be understanding, patent, caring and kind
Benefits
We offer Permanent contracts 35 hrs per week, with optional overtime available
We also have flexible part-time contracts as a bank hours contract available
FREE industry leading training and national qualifications provided - No experience necessary: We provide a full induction programme to Care Certificate Standards and training to achieve qualification in Social Care
FREE DBS and referencing - No fees
