Job Title: Marketing and PR Assistant (Part time)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £14,049 - £14,742
Location: Maidstone

Our client is one of the country's leading heritage visitor attractions welcoming over half a million visitors each year and they now have an exciting opportunity for a talented and creative marketing assistant to join their team on a part time basis.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is unable to commit to full time hours and looking to join a friendly and supportive team where they can show off their creative flair and organisation skills.

The person appointed will provide support and continuity to the Marketing and PR team, with responsibility to deliver given projects relating to hospitality business. They are required to demonstrate their creativity and good writing skills and will be self-motivated, possess excellent planning and organising skills. Good teamwork, strong communication skills and confidence are a big part of this role.

Key tasks include:

•Daily downloading and filing of digital press cuttings, compiling monthly coverage reports and creating specific campaign reports when required

•Assisting on filming and photoshoots, liaising with internal departments and attending out of hours filming supervision as required

•Responding to general press enquiries and sending out images. Providing support organising press events

•Maintaining the media centre, keeping it up to date with latest releases, news stories and images

•Focus on hospitality PR (weddings, corporate, accommodation), writing advertorials, press releases, researching new press opportunities, drafting press releases, maintaining/updating hospitality PR calendar. In time taking full responsibility

•The maintenance and monitoring of paid for and free directories/listings

•Updating the website as and when directed. (Writing and adding news stories.)

•Taking responsibility for maintaining/updating the customer and business databases

•Assisting with elements of the media planning and buying function

•Responsibility for monitoring the awards calendar and writing awards entries

•General administration and filing


Please note: This is a part time opportunity for 22.5 hours per week. Our client is flexible with how these hours are to be worked (e.g. split over 3 days per week or split over 5 days per week.) Due to our client’s rural location you will be required to have your own mode of transport to be considered for this role and must have previous experience in Marketing/PR.
