Full Time Delivery Driver – (Delivery area - West London and surrounding)

Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, avg. 45 hours per week)

Competitive Salary: £25,740 per annum (before tax), £11.00 Per Hour

Auguste Noel has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Delivery Driver to join our fast growing, fine food wholesale business based in Rochester, Kent. This role will be on a full time, permanent basis (after completion of a successful probation period). You will receive a competitive starting salary of £25,740 per annum, 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).

Auguste Noel Limited was founded in 2004 and since has established itself as one of the U.K. leading suppliers of fine food and drink. We supply independent Delicatessen’s, Farm Shops and Fine Food stores within London and the South of England.

As a Delivery Driver for Auguste Noel, you will ensure the correct and timely delivery of orders to your designated delivery area (within West London and surrounding), carrying out daily van checks, adhering to health and safety rules and working well as part of a team.

Key responsibilities for this role;

- A.M. Loading (at our depot in Rochester, Kent ME2 2NW) and unloading of goods to customers throughout your delivery round (West London and surrounding).

- Ensure that vans are loaded correctly and deliveries made to customers according to the schedule

- Ensure that a visual check of the goods being loaded is made, and the order is complete in accordance with a loading inventory

- Assist with order picking and van loading for the day’s deliveries

- Ensure that the customer is satisfied with the service provided and to note any mistakes made so they can be rectified

- Ensure that weekly checks are made on vehicles used, basic maintenance undertaken and that records are maintained

- Ensure the administrative procedures are followed and records maintained

- Ensure that health and safety rules and legislation are complied with for both for driving and warehouse work

The ideal candidate will have a full UK drivers licence without endorsements and a history of reliable employment. Geographically it would be a beneficial if the candidates home address is between Rochester (Auguste Noel Depot) and the required delivery area (West London). Good knowledge of London and the South East is essential. The applicant should be a minimum of 25 years of age (to comply with our company fleet insurance) and have at least 5 years driving experience.

The candidate must be literate with good English language skills, along with a clean and presentable appearance (you are the face of our business and therefore it is essential we recruit staff who are able to provide an excellent service to our customers).

The candidate must have good punctuality, excellent organisational skills, must be able to lift safely and repetitively throughout the day, able to work well as part of a team, able to work unsupervised and must be able to communicate well with others within the company and also with customers.

Working hours are approximately 7.30*am to 4.30*pm Monday - Friday. (*can be subject to change).
