Job Purpose:

To provide support to the sales team by driving operational efficiency and enable account managers to provide a higher level of customer service. The role holder will also manage a number of smaller accounts with the aim of developing into an account manager role.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

Track performance vs contract, in order to ensure we have the correct information to manage our rice stocks effectively as well as tracking & flagging contract renewal dates

Update sales forecasts monthly, in order to maintain high service levels to our customers

Create and maintain customer account files in order to develop knowledge of the trade

Collate information on competitor activity and provide structure tracking supported with photo’s/image data base to keep up to date with market dynamics

Review promotional invoice tracking to ensure the finance team can accrue the correct promotional spends

Collate raw material pricing quotes to reduce multiple requests and provide more centralised support for the team

General sales support for range reviews, samples, meetings, presentations etc

Customer management (phase 2)

Assume additional responsibility for specific customers and business development opportunities for personal development and growth

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Business related degree, 2:1+ desired

• Strong analytical skills

• Highly organised

• Highly driven with the ability to get things done

• Ability to be innovative and create ideas for solutions to problems.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to influence others to gain support for their idea and take action

• Solid presentation skills
