Property Repair and Claims Co-ordinator

Our client is a dynamic and growing, independent business, who specialise in commercial & domestic property restoration on behalf of insurers following an insurance related claim.

They work closely with loss adjusters and insurers to manage and complete repairs and restoration following; fires, floods, water escape, windstorm, vandalism etc. damage to property.

This will be a multi-faceted role with a diverse array of duties and responsibilities. The aim is that the successful applicant will progress to become the office manager.

The purpose of the role will be to provide pro-active and overarching administration and co-ordination of the company's repair and restoration activities.

Using an in-house claims management system you will register new cases and update details throughout the lifecycle of the restoration/ repair. Collating evidence to support the repair estimates. Type-up site notes, review pricing and scope of work reports and ensure they are submitted to insurers and/or loss adjusters. Ensure repair work and costings are authorised by the adjuster/insurer before work commences.

Co-ordinate on-site repair teams and liaise with claimants to establish and monitor the work diaries and repair schedules to ensure repair work commences on an agreed date and progresses as agreed. Refer queries and any problems/complaints to directors for resolution.
In general you will ensure that repairs progress in an efficient manner and within the SLA's set out by clients.

This role would suit someone with operations or secretarial/administration experience from a loss adjusting or contractor / building background. Our client would also consider applicants from an insurance claims repairer/contractor environment. They will also accept applications from people who have property claims knowledge from another type of business (broker/insurer) and who understand the nature and timeline of property claims.
