Agile Delivery Manager needed to work for a leading Kent based Financial Services firm.

The Agile Delivery Manager will be responsible for a team of software engineers (circa 12 people) working in an Agile methodology.

You will be directly accountable for the output of this team, ensuring that agreed priorities are managed and delivered against a Roadmap, in a way that maximizes business benefits while meeting all compliance and statutory requirements.

The Delivery Manager will work very closely with the Product Owner for this system to ensure delivery against the Roadmap. You will guide this work in the context of strategic business aims, as well as the regulatory and compliance obligations. Regular liaison with key business stakeholders as well as the Product Owner is essential to ensure that delivered functionality is appropriate to business need.
You will take responsibility for delivery of all stages in the Agile software development process and for management of Java development, Test and release teams.

You will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the team managing all development activity and removing impediments. This will include eliminating key person risks by cross training staff and ensuring all systems, processes and controls are well documented. It will also include tuning the team , ways of working and tooling as required to ensure efficient and effective delivery for the business.

You will have overall responsibility for the quality of the work delivered by the development team and provide advice, assistance and leadership in improving the quality of software support by working closely with the business and other IT teams as necessary.
