Senior Actuarial Analyst
Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their team to ensure the prudent and sustainable development of the Protection business. This is achieved by providing professional analysis, advice, challenge and assurance in the management of Protection's risks and liabilities.
What would you be responsible for in this role?
Support the process of regularly calculating and providing projections of the UK GAAP reserves and Solvency II technical provisions & SCR of Life Insurance cover.
Perform experience analysis and support providing recommendations for the development of reserving methodology and the setting of assumptions.
Producing analysis to support stress, scenario and reverse stress-testing.
Support the Actuarial Manager in checking and compiling the reporting work, ensuring that documentation is maintained to an auditable standard and that all relevant technical actuarial standards are complied with.
Assist the Actuarial Manager in mentoring the junior members of the Life Actuarial Team in order to ensure that their work is completed to the required standard.
Completing other activities over and above those listed in the role profile, appropriate to your skills and experience.

Qualifications
Degree qualification, ideally in Mathematics, Economics or similar
Part way through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams – at least Core Principles exams completed and making their way through the Core Practices.
