Your new company
My client is a small RSL that provide sheltered and general needs accommodation to people aged 60 years and over, that's broken up to 10 general needs units and 200 sheltered.

They have stock spread across the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Lewisham and are looking for a part time Building Surveyor to manage their portfolio across their boroughs.

The nature of the role requires the successful candidate to complete 21 hours a week, but there is complete flexibility on how that is worked, whether it's 3 days a week, just mornings across 5 days or an alternative.

Your new role
As part of your role you will be tasked to effectively manage property maintenance, ensuring that property maintenance is carried out to the agreed standard and within agreed timescales, including managing repairs carried out by contractors and liaising with partner landlords to ensure that their repairs are carried out in line with the management agreement. Working with the Property Manager and Executive Assistant to ensure that the procurement process is followed, and the approved contractor/supplier list is maintained to ensure the client is receiving value for money goods and services. To work with the Property Manager, Executive Assistant and Operational team and landlords to ensure the opening, decanting and closure of properties are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner including maintaining property and contents inventories.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have working knowledge of relevant legislation including, Housing Law and Health & Safety. Experience of delivering Housing Management services, including liaising with contractors and procurement processes. Working knowledge of safeguarding and experience of working with vulnerable groups of people. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening work and ability to travel to properties across South London. You will also be required to either hold or able to hold an Enhanced DBS.

What you'll get in return
As this is a part time role, you will be paid a salary of £23,100. Days and hours worked can be negotiated.
