An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Manager looking to embark on a new challenge in the Tonbridge area.

This is a key role within the business in which you will be responsible for the day to day management of the accounts department, including the management and development of 2 members of staff.

Working closely with the senior management team you will be responsible for the following:

* Issue contract paperwork to clients.
* Ensure Sales invoices are issued to clients in accordance with their contract.
* Ensure purchase invoices are coded, authorised, input and paid in a timely manner.
* Submit VAT returns and EC Sales Returns whilst working closely with the Accountant based in their European office by providing figures and information enabling them to submit the French TVA return on our behalf.
* Providing monthly payroll information to the external accountants, including calculation of sales commission whilst acting as payroll bureau, and making salary payments to employees, HRMC and pension provider.
* Ensuring timely payments to subcontractors on a weekly basis, including calculation of CIS tax deductions. Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns to HMRC monthly, and monthly CIS tax statements to subcontractors.
* Ensuring monthly Bank Reconciliations are conducted and that credit card statements are reconciled and paid on time.
* Managing the bank accounts, taking cash flow information into account.
* Producing the Annual Statutory Accounts to Trial Balance.
* Provide professional assistance to the the external accountants.
* Produce management reports.
* Liaising with insurance brokers for the Business and Fleet insurances.
* Support the Directors with adhoc duties when required, including some HR matters.
