United Fruit Growers Limited is a global independent fruit importer and exporter based in Langley, Maidstone, Kent. An established business with a turnover in excess of £25 million. The company has a very small team who work closely together in a friendly modern office.

United Fruit Growers Limited is offering the exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, high attention to detail & accuracy to join the busy Accounts team based in Langley, Maidstone as a Sales Order Processor supporting the UK and international companies.

The main responsibility will be:
• Sales Order Processing – Processing customer orders, liaising with packhouses and hauliers, communicating with customers. Maintaining the daily sales records.

The role will also involve a variety of the following functions:
• Purchase Order Processing – matching and inputting invoices, resolving queries and tracking accruals
• Assist with the development and implementations of new processes and ways of working to increase efficiency.
• Report directly to the Financial Controller
• General adhoc finance duties

We need a highly numerate individual with an excellent attention to detail who can stay calm under pressure. A car is essential due to the rural location of the office. A second language of Dutch or German would be advantageous.

Key Requirements for the role:
• Numerate, Logical and Methodical, attention to detail
• IT literate – knowledge in the following packages would be an advantage – Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks
• Good communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Proactive attitude and work as a team with other members of staff

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08.30 am to 5.00 pm.
Salary: £15,000 - £20,000 DOE
