IBA Accounts Technician
City of London Salary up to £40,000
About the Company:
An independent specialist global wholesale insurance broker. They have had over 11 successive years of growth, placing risks for large national corporations, SMEs and start-ups, and in particular, non-standard risks for large multinational companies.
Job Description:
·Preparation of statements
·Allocation of cash
·Handling external queries
·Making payments
·Credit Control
·Reconciliation of externally generated accounts
·Reconciliation of returned generated accounts
·Review of debts for funding cases
·Review of legacy and aged items
·Monitoring and clearance of non collectable items
·Journal creation
·Reconciliation of internal hold accounts
·Review of non payable transactions
·Maintenance of department electronic files
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
·Full understanding of debits, credits & payable, non payable items
·Full understanding of IBA's key indicators and their relevant impact - funding, unallocated cash
·Full understanding of IBA processes and procedure including how and why
·Understanding of Global XB payment, receipt and enquiry functionality
·IMR
·Xchanging
·Good understanding of the end to end process of an insurance transaction processed in a Lloyds Broker House
·Keen to start or continue studying towards CII qualifications
