Delegated Underwriting Authority Manager

An opportunity to become a key member within a leading specialist in London market and European commercial lines business, who are actively underwriting a diverse range of risks in both the Lloyd's and Company market.

They are seeking to recruit a DUA Manager to join a team of specialists with the chance to enhance your career in an exciting and dynamic environment.

As a DUA Manager you will ensure DUA's across all major & niche classes are written in accordance within Group guidelines & the Lloyd's DUA Code of Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for you to own and manage our own portfolio of DUA's. You will also have the opportunity to implement new business prospects, which will involve extensive internal stakeholder engagement.

Duties and responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of DUA's ensuring all pre and post bind processes are adhered to in accordance with Group guidelines.
Management of the approval process for new coverholders, renewals and post approval changes including managing key stakeholders in the process.
Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders; Lloyd's, Regulators, Brokers, Coverholders & Market Peers.
Opportunity to take responsibility for projects in the ever changing DUA market
Attend internal team meetings, liaising with underwriters and other departments to ensure DUA Management operates collaboratively.
Represent DUA Management within Group Operations contributing to the promotion of the team.
Keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate awareness in order to ensure our DUA's operate effectively and appropriately.

What you need:
Must have experience in delegated authority business, preferably working in an Insurance Company or Lloyd's Syndicate.
Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to prioritise and organise workload and follow through on tasks/projects.
Good interpersonal and strong communication skills.
Strong levels of personal drive and a pro-active attitude.
Ability to work quickly and accurately.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
