2nd Line IT Support


£26,000 - £28,000

In the role of 2nd Line / Desktop Support you will be: -

* Providing 2nd line support for up to approx. 400 users, solving technical problems and getting involved with advising clients and assisting the 1st line team

* Proving technical support via telephone and email, as well as occasional visits off site

* Solving technical problems and keeping customers updated with progress

* Assisting with the resolution and monitoring of incidents, and acting as a point of escalation for 1st line tickets

* Assisting customers with their questions about supported software, ensuring delivery within SLA's

* Desktop/Application troubleshooting and Server support

* Working closely with the IT Manager and supporting the extended team when needed

* Logging and handling tickets

* Supporting other service desk operations as required

* Communicating effectively verbally and in writing

To be considered for the 2nd Line / Desktop Support role, candidates should have experience of: -

* Windows 7 & 10 Desktop Support

* Group Policies

* Exchange/Office 365 Management

* Knowledge of a Ticket Logging system

* Dealing with escalated issues

* Proven experience of working within an SLA

* Working in a customer service role

As the "Face of IT" within the business, you will also be enthusiastic, customer-focused, friendly, have excellent communication skills and have a full driving licence.
